I purchased this based on previous reviews and am not disappointed. Works great, solid, fits in my drawer with ease, fits all my knives. I find it extremely easy to pick up and re-insert my knives in this unit. I bought this as wanted to declutter my new granite countertops and I am not dissapointed. Best of all, no ugly dust collecting butcher block on the counter.Customer Review: This is an excellent knife tray.

This in-drawer knife tray is very functional. It stores most knives, fits nicely in a standard kitchen drawer, and is sturdy. Quality wood and design. Everyone needs a knife tray to protect the cutting edge of the blades. The longer blades go in as shown in the photo. Short knives such as parers sit forward between the large knife blades. All handles are safely grabbed with no danger of touching a cutting edge or point. A tray also gets those unsightly knife blocks off the counter and out of sight and the slots for the blades won't get dusty and grimy. Block designs will get dusty, then grimy and with no way to clean the slots. Customer Review: Excellent Product!

I love this 13-Slot In-Drawer Knife Tray. This high quality product is beautiful and functional. I hate clutter on my counter tops and this storage tray is the perfect answer for safe storage. I looked at another style of in-drawer knife storage and read about problems taking out the small knives, but no problems with this design. Even my husband thought this was great. If you have little ones around, be careful choosing the drawer for knife storage. Hey, J.A. Henckels, please make a 6 or 8 slot in-drawer STEAK knife tray style like this great product. I bought this as a Christmas present for my parents. They try not to keep a lot stuff on the counter, so when I decided to buy them a Knife set for Christmas I stumbled along this and bought it!
It is a very good value and fit perfectly into the drawer. It holds the steak knives that they already had and the new knives that I bought them to go with this. It is very convenient and makes grabbing a knife easy and safe (as long as the blades are facing down, like they are supposed to be!). This is a very good alternative to a counter knife block. If you don't want to take up more space on the counter and if you have the empty drawer space it is perfect!!
I debated between this one and others with more slots for more knives. This one seems to be more visually appealing that the others. Granted it's in a drawer, I know, but it looks better that the other option (at least to me). Also my parents aren't huge into cooking with the finest of everything, so they didn't exactly need more storage space, as they only have 13 knives, which worked out perfect!
