This flatware has a terrifically modern look that -- somehow -- me and my antique-loving fiancé can agree on. We now own service for twenty. And a dining room that only seats six. In other words, we love this stuff.But why?
Maybe its the nifty way the retro curve of the handles conform to your hand. Maybe its the solid feel and weight. Or perhaps the almost-oversized-European styling. Or the fact that they look and feel better than Oneida -- at a third the price.
Whatever the reasons, we're more than happy.

Heavy enough for everyday use and elegant enough for company, this flatware suits any occasion and then goes right into the dishwasher. It's made of durable 18/10 stainless steel, polished to a mirror finish. Substantial length (9-inch knives), width, and heft qualify it as European size--the kind of flatware that might be found in an upscale bistro. This Opus pattern features fork and spoon handles that turn up slightly at their ends and knife handles that curve to the right, contributing a contemporary look.
