I ordered 2 of these salt lamps...the first one came and is wonderful. The warming glow is beautiful. I had to contact the seller to find out where the second one was. It finally arrived and was NOTHING as expected. Not even the same style. It is cut off on the top and has a tealight type metal cup in it. Which I don't understand the purpose of since it is an electrical lamp and no candle is necessary for it's use.
Both lamps are running in my home now and we are hoping to find the results as described.

I purchased this item as a gift for my girlfriend to help her ease into sleep at night. The lamp is truly unique and glows a beautiful, deep orange. The base is made of solid wood, and the unit has a significant weight to it (6 - 8 lbs). Regardless of the ability of this lamp to emit "positive ions", I am convinced that the lamp can, in the very least, offer a relaxing atmosphere. My girlfriend can confirm that this item is a wonderful addition to her bedroom.Customer Review: Provides nice glow, but not what was expected

Understandable since these are natural crystals and all, but the one we received barely resembled any of the pictures shown online. Would've been good if they had mentioned that more clearly. Also, the tiny bulb inside blew out the moment we turned it on -- had to get a replacement at the hardware store. Other than that, we've gotten used to the look of it now and it does provide a beautiful glow -- more than a candle but less than a lamp.Customer Review: beautiful and energizing

i have one at my desk at work and one by my bed at home. they offer wonderful ambient lighting, great mood decor, but the best part is is the atmospheric ionization! at this time my only regret is that i diddnt get a size or two bigger.Customer Review: Nice but not intended for hot climates...

I SAW MANY PICS OF THIS SALT LAMP, READ THE REVIEWS BUT NOTHING PREPARED MR FOR HOW BEAUTIFUL IT REALLY IS! I JUST RECIEVED IT A FEW MINUTES AGO AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH IT. THE SALT LAMP IS EXACTLY AS PICTURED ON THE PAGE, WITH THE SAME INTENSE ORANGE GLOW WHEN LIT AND A SIMPLE YET BEAUTIFUL BOTTOM HOLDER RING.
I HAVE NOW SHOWN IT TO SEVERAL OF MY SIBLINGS, AND THEY ARE ALL THINKING OF BUYING ONE...
I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT! :)

p.s. after many months of having this item, i am not so sure it is meant for hot weather as it melts very easily and leaves traces of itself everywhere! would recomend only to people living in fairly cool climates....
