Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Imusa VICTORIA-85008 Victoria Cast Iron Tortilla Press, 8-InchCustomer Review: Hoping for thinner tortillas Summary: 4 Stars
Got one for Christmas and it is so much faster then rolling the tortillas with a rolling pin.
With that said though, my tortillas are still rather thick. Figured I might be doing something wrong. I wonder if it is the way I made the dough. Maybe need to make it with more water next time.
Good non the less
Customer Review: Tortilla Press for Dummies Summary: 4 Stars
This tortilla press is a formidable implement. It weighs a lot and would hurt like hell if you dropped it on your foot. It does, however, do an excellent job pressing rolls of dough into nice round tortillas. It would help, however, if there had been some instructions included in English. Maybe even a recipe or two?
Customer Review: Tortilla Press Summary: 4 Stars
Maybe it was because I was making Whole wheat tortillas, but I had to press and flip the dough more than I expected to get them flat and the right size. I still got very good tortillas from the press, and it is easy to clean. I can tell it will last. Glad I didn't buy the plastic alternative.
Customer Review: Meets Expectations Summary: 4 Stars
This tortilla press is heavy!! And it gets the job done. Nothing fancy, just what you need to press tortillas. The only problem we've noticed with the press is that sometimes the tortilla stuck to the wax paper, but that could just be the ingredients we used to make our tortillas. I don't know.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 4 Stars
I really like this tortilla press. I love making my own tortillas and this makes the process so much easier. My only issue with this particular product is that it sticks. I have found that using squares of wax paper on top and bottom is the easiest way to get perfect tortillas.
