We ordered this product about a month ago and have been very pleased. The cold water is cold enough but not too cold. The hot water is surprisingly hot... perfect for a quick cup of tea. The first bottle of water tasted a bit like plastic but we did not notice it after we were finished with the second bottle. We are on the fourth bottle now and the water is perfect. The first couple of days it did have a burning scent to it when you walked by. We figured that it was due to the heating element being used for the first time... kind of like when you turn your heat on for the first time of the season. Now we do not smell it at all!
Overall, we are very pleased with this product. We as a family have really enjoyed the convenience of it. We are so glad we have it!!!

I ordered this water cooler primarily for its looks and it looks modern and sleek. I was pleasantly surprised that it functions very well and was simple to set up. The title of this review basically sums up my comments on this item. It arrived fairly quickly; however, immediately upon setting it up, I noticed the loud humming noise coming from it. My kitchen is not large and it sits between the fridge and the kitchen table. It periodically hums extremely loud for a few minutes and then stops. Something I've learned to tune out and am working on ignoring when the house is quiet. The unit had a "funny" smell to it for the first day or so which I attribute to its newness and packaging. The water from the bottle appeared to drain endlessly for the first few minutes (bubbles rose in the bottle for at least 3-5 minutes and the water level was receding)wondering if a resevoir were filling while half-expecting the unit to start leaking onto the floor. However, nothing like that has occured.
The unit appears to give pre-regulated temperature hot and cold water-so far. I am purchasing an extended (from the default 90 day) warranty as I feel that eventhough I am replacing another trusted, now broken and much quieter machine I've had for several years, the "life expenctancy" of this new one is not anticipated to be as trouble-free...just a feeling I have because things aren't made to last like they used to anymore.
Moving and installing the unit was a five-minute job for me (without help). I trust the Igloo brand and love the stainless steel body and aethetics. The space-saving design is convenient as well. I had some universal water cooler filters which you place on the spindle of the machine before mounting the bottle of water and which last for several water changes, so I didn't notice anything "funny" about the taste of the water as others claimed. Only time will tell! Thanks for reading!
