I use this in my ZooMed NT 3 terrarium with a Tetra Whisper 300 Fish air pump
The set up i have is 2 TropicAire units hooked up to the Tetra Whisper 300 (overkill air pump for this application, also since there are 2 ports on my fish pump i have 1 tropicaire unit hooked up to each port, i could have just bought an adapter for the fish pump and ran it with one tropicaire unit but i thought the more the merrier)
First off i am not using Tropicaire as a means of humidifying the terrarium, I am using them just to bring lots of fresh humid air into the terrarium. The reasoning behind it is if i pump in outside air, it will start to dry out my terrarium (i need 90%+ relative humidity), however if i pump in humid air, it will help keep the tank wet and it will make my tank's humidifier's job easier to always keep high humidity.
Bottom line: if you want to constantly have lots of fresh wet humid air in the tank, this is it just make sure to use a strong fish air pump. Also this should not be a primary means of humidifying a terrarium.
