Customer Review: Works great in the Senseo
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been making my own pods for the last several years using the Perfect Pod system. I tend to go through a lot of pods, and they are a bit more pricey than I'd like. So I thought I would try one of these coffee ducks to use at home and save the pods for my Senseo machine at work. The duck works great and cleans up easily (although it is a lot messier to clean than simply throwing out a pod). Others have commented on leaking, but the duck leaks no more than a pod does with just a dribble or two coming down the snout at the start, but that falls right into the cup anyway--but the pods do the same thing. Like the prefect pod, I choose my coffee which is the only way to go! I would buy the duck again, and enjoy using it.

Customer Review: Good product
Summary: 4 Stars

- easy to use
- easy to clean
- use any of your favorite coffee
- saves tons of money in pod

---------------
- mess same time

Customer Review: Nice, with caveats...
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this, just like others, so I could use my own coffee blend rather than rely on what Senseo and others make into pods. I eagerly awaited its arrival, running drastically low on pods for my Senseo.

After I received it, it took a while to figure out how best to use it. It has caused my Senseo to leak on numerous occasions, despite following the directions and ensuring the lip was clean and whatnot. What I've found is that you can't put too much coffee in the duck, but you can't put too little either. It seems to be a delicate balance.

Also note, you will not get a full two cups when you use this. I believe this has something to do with the pressure generated by the unit when you use it, but I did notice that I'm missing about an 1/8 of a cup or so of coffee when I use the duck.

That said, it does work, and I'm fairly happy with it.

Customer Review: CoffeeDuck Leaks
Summary: 3 Stars

Unit seems nice but leaks, even with no coffee in the unit. Retains a lot of liquid. My senseo is a correct type for this unit so it was disappointing.

Customer Review: Works as advertised, have had no major problems, would recommend to friends/family
Summary: 5 Stars

Like others, I had been using Senseo pods but felt tempted to try all the varieties of coffee out there. I am using this with fresh roasted coffee from Peet's. I have had good results with #3 and #4 grinds. I wouldn't say I am a coffee master or connoisseur, but I really do appreciate the flavors and I think it works well. I can definitely notice a huge difference in taste and freshness when using this vs. senseo pods, which can never match a local roaster in freshness.

If you looking mainly for economy, the Senseo pods subscriptions on Amazon are getting really cheap and they are decent. Its just that having the option of regularly fresh coffee using this is more appealing to me, and ends up costing about the same or less than the pods. Plus, you don't have all that waste!

I have had it for a few months, using it daily and have not encountered any problems. For those struggling with hot grounds, I just leave it there to cool until the next time I have coffee, and then just dump them then. Rinses clean, no issues.

If you are on the fence, I think it is definitely worth it.
