Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bazoongi 48" BouncerCustomer Review: Great Outdoor Toy But Handle Padding is Fragile Summary: 4 Stars
Great yard toy. My kids (and the neighborhood kids) really enjoy using this. I would have given this 5 stars instead of 4 if the padding on the handle bar had not fallen apart within the first week of use. This has been living outside in our backyard rain or shine for about 3 months with no problems. I don't think the deterioration of the handle padding had anything to do with being outside.
Assembly tips:
I put this Bazoongi Bouncer together by myself and was mentally prepared for some difficulty based on reviews. I found assembly to be quick and easy. If you fully assemble each part of the circular frame one at a time then the last part of the frame may be difficult to line up. If you leave everything a little loose, line up all of the parts and then push it all together it is no problem. Also for the handle - if the predrilled holes look like they don't line up properly then take the handle apart and switch the location of the vertical bars that join the horizontal handle to the base. They then should line up properly. Worked for me. This also allows you to choose whether the direction of the curve of the handle projects in toward the middle of the trampoline or outward towards the outer edge.
Also as to the comments where people were concerned about the legs opposite the handle lifting off of the ground . . . My yard is VERY gently sloped way from the house. I don't know many people whose yard is perfectly flat. If the handle is pointed toward the downward side of the slope then the opposite legs will lift a little bit. If the handle is pointed toward the upward side of the slope then, for us, he opposite legs do not lift off of the ground.
Customer Review: very difficult to put together Summary: 4 Stars
I read all the reviews for this trampoline before I decided to buy it. I'm tending to think that not all metal parts are made alike. Some people have no problem putting this together while for others, like us, it is a nightmare! It took us two days (we gave up after spending an hour the first time). Our whole house is from Ikea, so we do put together quite a lot of stuff, but this was absolutely insanely difficult - the last part of the circle was impossible to fit. While we of course don't recommend this, I ended up sitting on the coffee table pushing the frame down (we put it sideways up) while my husband was trying to fit it in properly. And then I gave it short bursts of push to gradually slide it in. We also greased the ends.
Make sure that the handle bars holders are on the outside of the circle, and also when you fit in the handle bar that it does not follow the contour of the trampoline but goes against it (although someone already mentioned it, we only realized it when we couldn't fit the screws to attach the handle bar).
Geez.... after a couple of hours and some sore muscles we ended up with a trampoline that our toddler enjoys!
4 stars doesn't mean that I wouldn't buy it again. If you set aside an afternoon to do it, it's not that hard in the end. You may also get lucky and get an easy one that is doable in 15 minutes!
Customer Review: Great quality trampoline for young kids! Summary: 4 Stars
This trampoline is made of great quality, like the better made large trampolines Jump King ect... except made smaller for little ones! The handle a terrific idea! Very solid, heavy duty galvanized steel poles, covered with foam. They even have replacement parts! The springs and mat is heavy duty too just like the poles.
It is small though, 4' across, so I wouldn't recommend more than 1 little person at a time jumping on it as suggested. Good way to teach kids to share! Also use outside in soft grass, sand, mulch; or inside only with thick pads 6' around it at least.
It says ages 6 years and up to 110 lbs, but my 220 husband stood on it.
We bought it for our very agile, athletic, 26 month old granddaughter who climbs and jumps on and off everything, including our couches and coffee/end tables! We're trying to teach her not to jump, except on this toy and then only to step off not jump off!
We got her a Step2 Slide/Rockwall for her 2 year BD in Oct. Good addition to that!
They ship fast too! In a sturdy box.
The reason I gave it a 4 stars was because the screw hole for the handle was in the wrong place, so we had to drill ones. No problem, just a little hassle!
Cost more but worth the $$$, as will last longer if well taken care of! Nice to see you can still buy well made toys for the rambunctious ones!
Customer Review: Better than Miles Kimball's Trampoline Summary: 4 Stars
I sent back the trampoline we ordered for our granddaughter from Miles Kimball. Directions had been translated poorly from Chinese (sentence structure lost its meaning frequently), the print and photos on the directions were faded and a magnifying glass was necessary to read the poorly written instructions, the frame was difficult to assemble, and instead of springs, a bungy cord was employed which had to be woven around the perimeter by Superman and the League of heroes. after 5 plus hours of frustration using a magnifying glass etc. I sent the thing back and ordered the Bazoongi from amazon. Directions were clear and simple. I had it up and ready for use within about 45 minutes of easy assembly. Compared to the bungy cord on the former unit, the springs were easy to attach to the mat and frame. The unit is well constructed and is as safe as any trampoline can be for kids. close supervision is required especially when new friends come over. there are loads of warnings that go around the trampoline, but kids of course can't read. make sure all directions are followed. good product.
Customer Review: Nice, but...... Summary: 4 Stars
Pros:
It's the perfect size for a toddler.
Wife uses it to exercise.
Cost.
Finished product seems like it will last.
Padding around trampoline has a frog pattern that goes well in a kids room.
My son loves it.
Cons:
Instructions stink. more detailed drawings would be nice.
All but two of the frame sections needed to be "adjusted" with a hammer so they'd fit together. Honestly the manufacturer should do a little quality control. A couple smacks on each side of the square tubing made it small enough to fit into the legs.
Padded grab handle is on the cheezy side. It could be of higher quality.
Bottom line:
I'd buy it again because it's a bargain compared to other small trampolines and the overall sturdiness and quality seems good. I put it together by myself in about 40 minutes. If the parts fit correctly I'd have had it together in about twenty.
