Customer Review: Kept me comfortable for a 12 hr flight

I purchased this pillow for an upcoming 12 hour flight in coach class. I have other travel pillows, but none of them are comfortable enough to allow me to lean against them and sleep. This pillow, with it's unique shape stayed in place and didn't slide down over time. On the way over, I used it as the mfg pictures. On the way back, I had a window seat and was able to use the pillow to lean against the window and slept without the pillow moving.
When the flight was over, I simply deflated it, rolled it up and stashed it in my carry-on bag. No need to haul around a bulky pillow.
I highly recommend this pillow. A business class upgrade is better, but when you can't get that, opt for this pillow.

I used this on my recent flight from NYC to Las Vegas, and absolutely LOVED it. It really helped me get a more comfortable rest. I used it in the "guitar" fashion and also found a couple of other positions where it helped create greater comfort. It inflated and deflated so quickly and easily, and in one of the positions I used it, I preferred to use it slightly deflated - quick and easy to accomplish - and then easily & quickly returned it to fully inflated when I changed to another position.
I found this to be such an incredible help on my flight, that I ordered one for each of my daughters who met me in Vegas, so they can enjoy these benefits when they take the return flights to their homes.

It worked like a charm. Turned my recent long flight into a much less painful experience. Before this I used to get very little sleep during flights. The U-shaped pillow would help somewhat, but wasn't good enough. With this the head was rested very well and I got very peaceful sleep.
I remember seeing some negative reviews about the difficulty of tying it to the top of the seat, but it turned out to be very easy - Just tie it around the headrest on the seat so that it doesn't run across TV at the back of your seat. You can pull the chord very tight or leave is slightly lose to get different kinds of support. It wasn't difficult to find very comfortable positions on either side of the head.

I have to agree with many of the other reviewers that the TravelRest is the best travel pillow that I have ever tried. I first purchased one to see what it was all about and then had to buy a second for my wife. We used them both on a flight from Los Angeles to Sydney Australia (and back). In the air for 15 hours, we both managed to get several hours of sleep. Which is amazing considering the way we were packed in on the Boeing 777. Because the pillow is attached to the headrest and to your seatbelt, there is no need to keep retrieving it from the floor. It just stays put.
Now I may have to buy the plush cover, hoping that will stop my noise-canceling earphones from rubbing on the pillow.

I bought the TRAVELREST pillow 5 months ago and have used it at least 10 times since purchase. Read a review of the pillow in the Chicago Tribune that was quite favorable. I have never had success with the wrap around neck pillows so I really wanted to try this pillow. I bought 4 pillows (three for friends) for our trip to China. We all loved the pillow and were really able to sleep. I especially like to use it when I have a window seat on a plane. Easy to inflate and I just sling it on over my shoulder. Very huggable, sturdy, provides good support and is easy to pack. I have used it on all of flights taken since China and even used it on a train trip. Great pillow!
