Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of TravelRest - The Travel Pillow Reinvented - BlueCustomer Review: Most comfortable travel pillow you can buy! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this travel pillow for our red-eye flight to South America. It was the best sleep I have ever had on an airplane. The pillow was extremely convenient too. With only carry-on luggage for a one week stay, packing a squishy u-shaped pillow around was not an option. This rolled up to a small size and then strapped to my handle of my luggage. It provided easy access and was one less thing to squeeze into my carry on. This TravelRest pillow is easily inflatable with only a few breaths of air. It is extremely comfortable with the arm of the pillow crossing your body. The top of the pillow is also is the perfect height so that I did not get a kink in my neck. I also used it while sitting in the airport on a layover and while traveling on a train and on a bus. I even packed it for my kids to use on the last road trip. It will not disappoint you. I am extremely glad I purchased this travel pillow. It was worth every cent, even on my tight budget.
Customer Review: Best travel pillow for me so far! Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried LOTS of travel pillows and have found most of them lacking. This was a pleasant surprise. I read many of the reviews here on Amazon, so I already had some ideas on how to make this pillow work for me. It was very helpful that it's very small when rolled up deflated. Inflation takes me more than two puffs, but it's easy to do. In the past I always hoped for a window seat or leaned, somewhat uncomfortably for both of us, on my husband's shoulder to snooze. With the Travelrest pillow I have been able to get restful sleep in much longer blocks of time without intruding on anyone else's space (or leaning against a cold window). It's quick to put away when it's time to get ready to land and small enough to put down beside my leg if it's time to lower the tray table.
For me, this is the best of its type that I have tried- and believe me- I've tried a lot!
PS- Delivery was speedy, too.....
Customer Review: Best for comfort and size Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried many travel pillows and this is by far the best (I've used it on buses and planes so far)
The pros -
* it folds up to a small size (a huge plus when traveling on a plane)
* easy to inflate and deflate
* very comfortable - it really does let you sleep without that horrible head jerking I suffered with the U shaped pillows
* works well for both me (5'4") and my husband (5'10")
The cons -
* a very minor complaint is that the material attracts lint, so I have to use a clothes brush on it quite a lot (but it does mean that my head doesn't slide off the pillow, which it would do if a silky material were used, so I don't really mind).
And the customer service from Travelrest is great. I bought two pillows, and after a while one wasn't working properly. They sent me a replacement quickly and without fuss, and were very friendly.
Customer Review: I finally found an airplane pillow that works and is portable Summary: 5 Stars
The key, I think, to being comfortable with the TravelRest pillow is to attach the cord to the loop at the bottom of the pillow, then sling the cord over your shoulder so the pillow goes across you like the shoulder harness of a seat belt. Then tuck your arms into the loop (under the pillow) as you cross them in front of you. When I do that, it keeps the pillow firmly in position and my neck at an angle where it doesn't complain. I've tried other inflatable pillows, neck collars, bean bags, etc. -- this is the one that works for me. The other big pluses: It inflates and deflates easily, and it packs very small. Plus you can easily attach it to the handle of your carry-on, so it doesn't take up any space at all. It seems as if every time I get on an airplane I'm in the air for at least 5 hours, so the TravelRest pillow is a blessing, and if I ever lose this one, I'll buy another in a heartbeat.
Customer Review: Not Just for Travel Summary: 5 Stars
This pillow is good for more than just travel! I bought this pillow to use every night because I need to sleep with my head elevated due to an inner ear problem called Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV.) I just slip it into a pillow case and use it along with my normal bed pillow. This TravelRest pillow is much better than a wedge or U-shaped pillow because, it comfortably allows me to sleep on either side but still have my head elevated and in a good position to prevent an episode of BPPV. Because it's inflatable, I can make it just the right firmness for my comfort and easily cradle it in my arms to make my sleep position even more cozy. I absolutely love it and I recommend it to those who sleep on their side, like a slightly elevated sleep position, and are tired of having to "plump up" their normal sleep pillow in the night in order to get comfortable again.
