I LOVE these boxes and now have several sizes. Cut up fruit stays fresh a surprisingly long time--much longer than in the store clamshell container. I tested this by washing and cutting up some strawberries and storing in a Lock&Lock box, while leaving the remainder in the clamshell. The strawberries in my box are still fresh and useable after two weeks, while I had to throw the moldy ones in the clamshell away after only a few days.
I use the boxes in the freezer as well as the fridge and am well pleased that they fit easily in the dishwasher. Both box and top clean up well. The cloudy boxes such as these are recycle code 5, one of the safe ones, but I don't put them in the microwave regardless.
I checked the similar glass containers with locking lids while in the store and noted that two boxes on display had lid tabs broken off. None of my tabs have broken off and some of the boxes have been re-used often with lots of locking and opening, including when frozen, as I store homemade ice cream in this particular size.
I definitely recommend these over similar types.
