I was more than pleased when I received this set. It is made of high quality bamboo, smooth and of a perfect weight. Other wooden mortar & pestle sets that I have seen are usually too light or too heavy. I rub a bit of olive oil on mine before I use it, and it helps seal the wood so that the scent of whatever I am grinding doesn't absorb so much. I would highly recommend this product, and I will be buying several more as gifts.
