Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Health Solutions SinuPulse Elite Advanced Nasal Sinus Irrigation SystemCustomer Review: Eh, it's okay... Summary: 3 StarsI have had sinus problems for 15 years, now. And in that 15 years, I have tried just about anything and everything that would give me any relief from the constant sinus infections, thick post-nasal drip, and the obnoxious coughing I suffer with on a daily basis. I have had sinus surgery, weekly machine suction of my sinuses, and every homeopathic cure you can think of, nevertheless, NOTHING worked. My Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor always prescribed antibiotics, which were great in the beginning; however, I have built such a resistant to them, I have to search for alternative relief, otherwise, I am afraid that antibiotics will not work when I really need them. Anyways, about 4 years into my sinus condition (11 years ago), I found an article about nasal irrigation, and I immediately went out and bought a nasal bulb syringe (like the kind for babies) and started squirting saline up my nose on a daily basis. I found some relief from the irrigation, and I continued this on a daily basis. But yet I continued getting sinus infections every month, without fail. I still kept with the irrigation, because I felt it assisted with getting a lot of the infection out of my nose (I could actually see the infection go down the drain). I still look for the next best thing when it comes to getting rid of my sinus troubles; hence, enter: SinuPulse Elite? Nasal Irrigator System. When I read about and researched this product, I thought it would be my saving grace. Finally, something that would deliver the saline solution into my nose, at a pressure that would really wash, and get the infection out of my sinuses. I set up the SinuPulse as soon as I received it, and it was easy to set up. I prepared my saline solution, dumped it in the SinuPulse, and started irrigating. I turned the speed all the way up, and hung over the sink. I was immediately disappointed. Not only is the highest speed, extremely weak, I do not find much more relief than I do with my nasal bulb syringe. I have continued with daily use of the SinuPulse, and every time I use it I think, "Eh, it's okay." So the point of this tediously long review is, SAVE YOUR MONEY, and go and buy a $2 nasal bulb syringe to do your irrigating for you.
Customer Review: SinuPulse Elite Nasal Irrigation System Summary: 4 StarsWhile I prefer manual irrigation with a bulb syringe (much quieter and portable), this does an excellent job. This usually clears my sinuses after only one use, which is amazing. Based on other user reviews, I expected this to be very quiet, but it's noisy enough that everyone within 10 feet knows when it's being used. The SinuPulse Elite System has one nasal irrigation tip, one nasal mist tip, and two tongue cleaners, so you have to buy extra replacement nasal irrigation tips for each additional family member who wants to use this to irrigate. The SinuPulse Elite doesn't seem to be very sturdy, but if you follow the manufacturer's instructions to keep it running well, it's well worth the investment.
Customer Review: Great results! You won't regret buying it Summary: 5 StarsI'm very pleased with this device because it does what it's supposed to - flush out your sinuses.
I've suffered with a almost total nasal congestion all my life, with associated fatigue, illness and sleep disturbance. This product has been an essential part of my recovery process.
I think doctors need to get their act together and start recommending these products more often! I've had two nose operations and suffered for years with congestion, crusting and a blocked up nose, and no ENT ever mentioned anything like this. If only I had known that relief could be this easy!
For me, it also seems to reduce my hystemic reaction to allergens - I assume it does this by washing out the particles that would otherwise sit inside the nose, irritate the mucousa and cause the hayfever symptoms.
It's funny, we wash our hands regularly, change the oil in our cars and vacuum our floors but most people never think to clean of the most used and vital parts of our body - our nasal passages! Honestly, now that I'm used to the 'clean' feeling every day, it feels gross and uncomfortable when I forget to use the SinuPulse. I use it twice a day minimum.
Pros:
It just works. It flushes your sinuses, clears up your breathing and improves your life by a quantifiable amount.
Cons:
Some minor function and aesthetic design flaws that do not mar the overall performance. (The 'pause' button can be a bit tricky, and the water tray wobbles around somewhat)
The bottom line:
Buy one, you won't regret it. Forget neti pots, squirty syringes, inhaling capsicum extract or dunking your head into the ocean, just get one of these and you'll never look back. The purchase will be more than justified by the money you save on illnesses, allergy treatments and fatigue.
Customer Review: SinuPulse... IT WORKS!!! Summary: 5 StarsFinally a product that works! I'm an active guy and I love outdoor sports (triathlon, running, mountain biking, hiking...), but sometimes my sinuses and allergies drive me CrAZy!!! I'v tried the less expensive Neti Pots but they did not work well for me at all. I got fed up with the Neti Pot and spent the exta money on the SINUPULSE, and it was the best investment I have made in a long time. If you have sinus or allergy problems, this product is PRICELESS!!
Customer Review: amazing product Summary: 5 Stars"The SinuPulse is far superior for my allergy and sinus symptoms than the use of a neti pot. Neti pots are simply for washing the nasal passages and I have found their effectiveness very limited but for $15.00 I guess you get what you pay for. When it comes to my health I want the best and the SinuPulse with its advanced features including the two sprays, adjustable pressure control, and pulsating technology is the best with no comparison at least for me. If you suffer with allergy and sinus problems as I do invest in your own health and get yourself a SinuPulse. You can even get reimbursed by your insurance provider for the purchase!"
