Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Swing Away Wall Can OpenerCustomer Review: best manual can opener that has survived the years Summary: 5 Stars
I love this can opener! When we bought our 1944-built house in 1986 the same model was already attached to our pantry door. I don't know how long it had been there but I used it for years. It is so easy. After years of use and probably not the right upkeep, it started to malfunction. I was so happy to find it again on the internet after a long search (during a period when I purchased other can openers which were far inferior!)
Customer Review: The Can Opener of my youth... Summary: 5 Stars
The Swing Away Wall can Opener is excellent. We have used it for over two weeks and can attest that the opener action is smooth and makes opening all types of cans effortless.
I might add that I live in St. Louis, and that's where this can opener is manufactured, however I could not find this can opener any where to be sold except at Amazon.
Again, this can opener is an excellent value.
Customer Review: best wall can opener Summary: 5 Stars
I have noticed that some good manual tools have a way of disappearing in the "high-tech age". I was really happy to find that this can opener is still being manufactured! It attaches solidly to a (wooden) wall, and opens cans with great ease. some reviewers noted this opener lacks a magnet to hold a lid. It does not affect me, but some people may miss it.
Customer Review: Accept No Substitute Summary: 5 Stars
We've had one of these for 5 years now and wouldn't use anything else - it's simply the best. We went through a lot of different can openers over the years, manual and electric, but this one is by FAR the best. We have it mounted on a cabinet that lets it swing over the sink, which makes it ultra convenient. Still works as well as the day we bought it.
Customer Review: manual can opener Summary: 5 Stars
This manual (non-electric) can opener is the same make and model as the one we had that was 25+ years old and on which the cutter had simply gotten dull from use. So the new one (which arrived in a very timely fashion) actually fit nicely into the wall bracket the old one had been in.
We are very happy with it. And it doesn't use electricity!
