After shopping around for some time, I bought this product for two reasons: Price and versatility. The price was unbeatable. The three sizes makes it feel like I got three items for the price of one. These are great for grinding up our various garden-grown and dried herbs. PERFECT SIZE AND GOOD QUALITY. IN ADDITION TO THE COMMON USES OF THESE NICELY SIZED UNITS, TRY CRUSHING VETERINARIAN PRESCRIBED FELINE MEDICATION. JUST ADD THE POWDER TO BUTTER. MOST CATS WILL CONSIDER THE BUTTER A TREAT AND BOTH OF YOU WILL AVOID THE STRESSFUL SCENE USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH ADMINISTERING PILLS. I ordered these to grind pigments and for making shell gold from gold leaf-it was great to have a range of sizes to best fit the job, although the smaller sizes might not be so useful for culinary applications. The quality was comparable to anything else out on the market for a very reasonable price-overall a great value for a useful product.Customer Review: Good value

I have a dog that would not take his pills,so I needed a mortar and pestle to grind them up.This was a great value because not only did I get a small one for his pills,but two larger for cooking applications,plus the price was right.They are solid,well made,dishwasher safe,and a size for every need.What more could you ask for?Customer Review: Three for the price of one

I'll probably only use the smaller one, but for that alone the price is still right to me. I used it to grind home grown cayenne. Would be great in case you wanted to grind a pill into a powder. Like maybe aspirin or some such to put in juice for a baby or someone having difficulty swallowing pills.
