the folds are all uneven and produce funny looking cupcakes.
if you plan on making decent looking cupcakes, stay away from these

These muffin cups are excellent! I use them for a morning glory muffin- whole wheat flour, carrots, apples, coconut, pineapple and raisins- which always sticks to traditional paper liners. These are the only paper baking cups that easily come off the muffins. Yes, they are light brown color, and not very glamorous- but they work incredibly well. I bought these baking cups to use for my daughters upcoming wedding. I wanted something that would look nice, suit our baking needs and provide an enviornmentally friendly alternative to the standard baking cup. Beyond Gourmet unbleached baking cups are a natural (tan) color and have a thicker texture than most grocery store types. ..they are just fine. I'm always baking cupcakes/muffins to snack on so I go thru a lot of cupcake cups. These are perfectly functional and bake just fine. I wouldn't recommend them for any special occasions or presentations though.Customer Review: I have used them for years

I have used these baking cups for years. I see no difference except the paper is the natural parchment brown.
