I LOVE THESE STRAWS!
I own all 6 colors ([...] also makes black and clear). I have used them for several months. I discovered their existence from a brief article in Sierra magazine, that suggested we use re-usable straws rather than disposable. The floating debris in the Pacific that measures twice the size of Texas suggests that reusable straws are a good idea.
The glass is super durable, made of the same glass as Pyrex. The company that makes these straws offers to fix or replace it if you manage to chip or break one. I have not tested the straws by tossing them around, but I have seen no change in their appearance after lots of use (no scratches, chips, stains, etc).
I bought the brush, but I have never needed to use it. Though I always use them in iced tea (and that can stain), the straws always clean up in the dishwasher.
Each one comes in its own brown box, and I use the boxes to transport my straws to restaurants and back home. All the waiters want to know more about these cute straws. The colored dots make the straws look special and I feel special when I am using them.
When I pulled out my straws for a family dinner, my niece and nephew (ages 9 & 8) just had to try them. They walked away with 2 of my 6, and I rapidly ordered their replacements. I keep 2 in my husband's glove compartment, 2 in mine, and 2 at home. That way, I always have a clean one ready to use. They easily fit in any glove compartment.
For color fanatics, a little guidance on the colors--- be fore-warned that the green dots are kind of weakly colored. Not as green as a beer bottle and almost a sage green. I found the blue to be the most bright and intense color without being too dark. The amber can't decide if it is yellow or orange, so its a bit weird, imo. The red is a beautiful true red, though with the small size of the dots, in certain low lighting, they can appear to be black. The black and clear are on point, just as you would expect.
