This is definitely a great kitchen starter kit. You get so much for such a good price. The cutting board is on the small side and the knives aren't the sharpest in the world but I haven't had a problem cutting anything. I sliced potatoes the other night without any difficulty. You really can't go wrong purchasing this item for the price tag. If you want really sharp knives then spend the money otherwise these really do work fine. I would recommend buying this set.
