I bought this item to defrost meat in the 'frig (to avoid the dreaded blood overflow). It works great with two meat "trays" at a time. Like my aluminum cookie sheet, I don't worry about the rust factor. I will defintely try it on cookies soon. I have never used my other Granite Ware items for cookies (they're more for roasts), so I find the idea interesting. I do wish they would modernize these and roll up those sharp edges though! I have never cut myself on them, but I have come close and a child probably would too.
