we have been buying this toy for our cat for about two years. The entire family has a great time playing with the cat using this toy. When we first started buying it the wand was in two pieces. Our cat would pull it apart and eventually we wouldn't be able to find both pieces. Thus we had to keep buying. Then they started making the wand in one piece. What an improvement. Unfortunately then they made the string out of something that would just wind up into little knots. So you could play about 3 minutes before taking a 5 minute break to unwind. Now they have gone back to the original string and are still making the wand one piece. It is absolutlely terrific.Customer Review: Want your cat to pant like a dog?

My cats are pretty laid back and have ignored all other toys I've tried but right now, one is sprawled out on the floor, exhausted, and the other has his tongue hanging out, panting like a dog, eyes darting around to try and find the irresistible toy that's mysteriously vanished.
The first one isn't gone yet but it's nice to have 2 replacement "birds".
Also, you might want to clear some room, my cats are jumping higher and further than I'd thought was possible.
This is probably the best cat-related thing I've ever bought since the cats themselves and the litter robot.

I got this in the mail yesterday, and my cats went BONKERS for it. They were completely captivated by it the entire time it was out, and I had to put it in the closet so that they can't destroy it when I'm not around. It even got my most sedate cat jumping 2 feet in the air and sprinting around the room. It totally looks and moves like a bird, and is going to be a huge help in getting my indoor-only cats more exercise.
I do recommend the replacement feathers, since the cats attack them with fervor and it's only going to be a matter of time before they've annihilated the original feathers.

We've had other pole-type cat toys with feathers on the end, so I wasn't sure why this one was going to be any different. For some reason, it is! It most definitely is our cat's favorite toy. He just goes nuts over it. I also bought one for my sister and her cat loves it as well. Both her cat and mine stalk and leap when this toy comes out. I've tried pulling out the old feather toys we have and our cat just gives them mild interest for about a half a minute. When da Bird comes out....he is in wildcat mode. I just ordered two replacement feather attachments because I can see that we will need them!Customer Review: Loved by Kitties

My cats go bananas for this thing. It mimics the movement of a bird when you wave it around, and they can't take their eyes off of it. They get more into it when it's flipping around on the ground or "walking" by them. Their inner hunters really come out for this one.
It helps to have a large area to use it in since it's such a long rod and string. My cats break out their acrobatic skills when chasing this thing down. We also have to keep this toy hidden when we aren't home or else they totally destroy the feather attachment.
Overall, it's a great toy for your kitty!
