Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of The Da Bird Value Pack (Includes 1 Da Bird Original Single 3 Foot Pole Cat Toy & 2 Replacement Feathers)Customer Review: Da Best Cat Toy Ever! Summary: 5 Stars
Paws down, the very best cat toy in the world! Our cats are addicted to Da Bird - they simply must play with it every day or they sulk. Our vet used to sell them years ago, but then she retired. I was thrilled to find Da Bird on Amazon.com. (So were our cats!) The amazing configuration of feathers on this toy actually makes a noise similar to a flying bird, and this is only one of the many reasons why Da Bird is the best cat toy out there. Other reasons include: your cat can actually stalk Da Bird as if it were real prey; stalking promotes fun exercise for indoor cats; and because of the 3 foot long pole, you can sit in one place if you want to while your kitty does all the work, I mean fun. No, that's not entirely true. You, too, will have a ball watching your kitty play.
Customer Review: I now have an 11 year old kitten Summary: 5 Stars
Until "Da Bird", her favorite toy was a springy pole with feathers at the end. It finally reached the point where the feathers were too few and I replaced it with Da Bird.
My cat's attention span with her previous favorite was 5 minutes (other toys were less). Da Bird keeps her attention for at least 15 minutes. In fact, each time I have put it away she has made it clear she wants to continue. With other toys I had to bring the toy close to her body before she'd interact. Da Bird has her racing around the room chasing after it. Not bad for an overweight (but on a diet) 11 year old cat!
I am thankful I got this one instead of the pole that disassembles. With the way she pulls on it, I think a 2-piece pole would likely come apart.
Customer Review: My kitty loves it. Summary: 5 Stars
My kitty loves "da bird". I bought it to teach her to use a scratching post. You dangle da bird up and around the post. When she jumps up to get it, she feels her nails on the sisal post and likes it. By doing this, she learned to use the post right away. But, da bird is just fun to play with anyway. She jumps, chases, and catches it. When you pull it through the air, it spins. When I ask her, "Do you want to play with your birdie?", she goes over to the closet where we keep it. I like it because it has a 3 ft pole, so I don't have to do any running around like I did when pulling a toy on the end of a string. Just make sure you get the one with the refills because ours is only a week old, and it, already, is rather mangled from alot of play.
Customer Review: Cats go nuts over Da Bird Summary: 5 Stars
My cats just weren't interested in their old toys anymore, so I decided I was going to follow Pam Johnson-Bennett's recommendations. I am absolutely glad I did. I think I actually had one of these before but was probably put off by the cost. Not really sure why, since I pamper my cats, I guess I didn't want another toy in the box they weren't interested in. Well they absolutely love the 'fluttering bird stuck in the house'. I think one of my girls actually pants from over exertion! If they hear the 'flutter' they all wake up and come running to capture Da Bird. I'm glad I purchased the value pack with two extra 'birds'. I will definitely need them! I highly recommend this toy. Even an outdoor cat would enjoy this immensely!
Customer Review: Perfect toy for jumping kitten Summary: 5 Stars
Our 4 1/2 month old kitten has been trying out his new long legs and tail to jump everywhere, so after seeing the recommendations here, I figured this might be a good toy for him. I wasn't prepared for him to start going crazy for it barely out of the package! Is it the feathers? He will leap after this until he's panting and follows its every movement, including when we try to put it away. Thanks for the tip here about putting it in the closet, but make it one you don't open often - we did at first and he was in the door every time, grabbing the bird and dragging it out! The spare birds in this kit might get us through the month - I foresee many reorders, though.
