I wasn't so sure about the "As seen on TV" name of Ginsu. I was worried that I would be getting flimsy, light weight knives, boy was I mistaken!! These knives have a nice heavy weight to them, and are not flimsy at all. They are very sharp right out of the box...I even have a cut on my finger to prove it! I am very satisfied with the look of this set, and have used them in the dishwasher without a problem. I have learned from other knives that if you use a little scouring powder such as Bon-Ami on spotted knives they will clean right up. I've not had to do that with this set yet. I am very pleased with this set, and couldn't imagine having knives that were any sharper!Customer Review: awesome

I was so excited when I got this in the mail- I bought it for a Christmas present for someone who needed a better quality knife set. And I opened up the box, was so ecstatic over it that I couldn't wait for Christmas to present it to the person. I gave it to him that very night because I wanted him to be able to use it right away. The handles are simple but also seem elegant in their way- the serrated edge of the knives almost look artistic and decorative, also. I want to get a second set for myself so badly, haha. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, I was extremely satisfied with the product and he was pleasantly surprised as well.Customer Review: Affordable and high quality

When I was searching for a new, sharp knife set I originally was leaning towards Henkal's or Chicago Cutlery. Luckily I happened upon this set on Amazon before I made a purchase. I figured for less than half of what the others cost it wouldn't hurt to give Ginsu a try. The stainless steel and black go beautifully with my kitchen. The knives are very sharp. I didn't realize how dull my old ones had gotten! I wash these in the dishwasher and haven't seen any rust spots yet - I just make sure to wipe off the blade before I put it in the dishwasher and use the heated dry cycle. I got these knives 4 days ago. I was hesitant at first to buy them because i always seem to wind up with junk. I read the reviews on here and decided to take a chance. The Steak knives are AWESOME! I got some steak in the supermarket tonight and these knives cut through this steak like a hot knife through butter! Effortlessly! I seriosuly sat at my table seeing how thin i could slice each piece, having fun with how well they really did cut. I really enjoy when i have a quality item that does what it advertises. I highly reccomend these to anyone out there who isnt looking to spend a fortune but would still like a quality item.Customer Review: Happy I bought It!

I had read all the reviews of this product before I bought it. I was a little nervous but I have always heard good things about Ginsu knives. Well, I did it and I am Very Happy! The knives are Beautiful, Very Sharp and the holding block is nice. I wash them all always by hand and dry them the same way, no rust problems that way which if you don't you may have some problems as other reviewers mentioned. They go very well with my other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. I would definately recommend them. I haven't tried cutting the beer can yet after slicing my tomatoes but I may give it a whirl. :o)
