We purchased two other sets of knives from the TV shopping channels and had to return them as they wouldn't cut through soft butter. We have had these since August and love them. They are easily to hold for both myself with small hands and my husband with large hands. They cut beautifully. We recommend them to everyone. Well worth the Review: Well worth the price.Summary: 5 Stars I may be biased because I was using a set that should have been thrown out a couple years ago before I got these. Wow, a world of difference. These knifes are extremely sharp and feel like a quality construction. We are pretty novice cooks in this household so I dont have the frame of reference to compare to top-quality but they will be perfect for what we need.

These Knifes for the PRICE are GREAT we have a set and LOVE them we Purchased both or parents a set and they got our sibling a set because they are so GREAT! I give them as wedding shower gifts EVERYONE needs a sharp KNIFE and they are worth so much more!! Not bad at all. These knives are pretty good for the price. Their most likely made from (420 stainless steel)not the best for corrosion resistance,and maintaining sharpness, but for the price can't be beat. I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of the metal, I thought it was going to be very thin and flimsy, but it's not. All in all very satisfied.Customer Review: ginsu 4817

I was pleasantly surprised; we purchased these knives a few months ago. Thinking that I would replace them with a better knifes. These knives stay sharp the blades are not flimsy. We have been putting them in the dishwasher, [no rust]. What can I say they definitely surpassed our expectations for there is no need for us to buy any other knives?
