I've owned a single ginsu knife for thirty years. The things never die!
I have bought several major brand knives, in the past, and have been dissapointed with the edge,and color, ie ,rust marks. I bought this set from ginsu and I will never buy anything else again, and will pass it on to my kids. They cut like a razor, never dull, and you throw them right into the dishwasher. Don't waste your money on the big names-go ginsu

My parents have had ginsu knives for years now. They use them all the time and to this day they still cut like they are brand new. This price is a steal. You are getting the best knives for the best price. I am now moving out and I am going to make sure I have ginsu in my kitchen. I will not use anything else. Unlike the picture shown, my knife set came in a black block. It is rectangular and has a real contemporary feel which I love! The knives are VERY sharp. It is nice assortment of knives and will address most of you cutting needs. I read prior reviews suggesting that they not be put in the dishwasher. I have only washed mine by hand and have had no problems with the handles. You will not be disappointed with this set.Customer Review: Great Knives

These knives are terrific. I haven't found a thing that they don't slice right through! Even steak isn't a challenge for these knives! My husband always used to complain about our other set, but since getting these he hasn't complained once. The knives also cut through fruits and veggies without making a mess. I bought ours 3 years ago and they are still sharpe. I wouldn't know how they work on meat since we are vegetarians, but they cut fruit and vegies with ease. I have since bought 2 other sets for family members as gifts because all they loved them when at our house. If you don't like the block, then buy another or store them in a drawer. Very Happy for 3 years running!
