I bought three filters (pads) because I always forget to buy one in the fall to replace the old before winter dries everything out. The price was rights, so I stocked up. The only down side was that the box arrived damaged. The filters do not appear to be damaged, but they were not packed well (need to be individually wrapped inside the box).

Metal mesh replacement humidifier filter fits General furnace mount humidifier models 709, 990, 1040, 1042, 1137, SL16. Replaces original General part number 990-13. The filter is also industry defined as a media filter, water evaporator pad, or water panel, and is sometimes noted as being manufactured by General Aire or GeneralAire.
