I ordered this mask a while ago and everything came great in it. Bag filter and mask were new. I have worn this mask and it looks great. I used the filter and the filter works to some degree. I have not test it on any toxic gas but I did test it when putting garbage into the can (no mask ew nasty smell) (with mask filtered oxygen, no smell)
I am actually wearing the mask as I type too.
I do have trouble plugging it in with the rubber thing, it only closes 1/2 way.
Pros:
cheap
filters oxygen
easy to put on
looks awesome
Cons:
uncomfortable after an hour of use (for me at least)
ears start to hurt first after 1 hour
can get out of breath if doing physical activity
hard to plug the mask with the rubber plug
I might need to buy some more filters later.

I have absolutely no idea as to the effectiveness of this mask for any legitimate survival purpose. Upon arrival the mask itself is sealed with a rubber stopper, and the separate filter canister is sealed as well. Each is individually wrapped in paper for secure shipping. I purchased this mask to use with a costume and for display purposes, and it suits very nicely.
The mask fit me well, and I have a large head and longer hair. It fits much like a tight Halloween mask. There is an excellent field of vision with only minor fogging.
The mask comes with a small carry pouch that could be used to hold the mask or other similarly sized items.
The mask is excellent for the price, as most of these found in surplus stores are well over $20 each, without the accoutrements.

This mask is tight. I suppose it needs to be to keep the bad stuff out. Its kind a one size fits all since its made of really stretchy rubber. It takes a bit of practice learning how to breathe properly while wearing. REMEMBER to remove the stopper on the filter. You can't breathe at all if it is left in place. A cool feature is that when you breathe in the fresh air coming through the filter defogs your eye glass. Of course when you breathe out they have a tendency to fog up again. Plus it comes with a green military style carry bag.
I feel safer owning a few of these and keep them in my garage. Hopefully me and my family won't ever need them. Pretty cheap insurance.

I bought this, not for a nuclear attack but to look awesome in!
the rubber will hurt your hair, and the filter is expired the bag holds everything snugly.
** IF YOUR FILTER DATE IS AFTER THE 70'S YOU CAN BREATH THROUGH IT NO ASBESTOS**
mine was from 82 and I am still alive! The filter will not protect you against N.B.C's but im pretty sure that it can filter out smokey air and sawdust, you know small stuff, so it works for that.

He shipped out the product fast. I really appreciate the quick service since I live in Northern California and I wanted to have every preparation in place, in case we saw clouds of radioactive gas or a spike in radiation come over from Japan. Or if an earthquake here brings it much closer to home. I haven't hooked up the canister, but I tried on the mask. It fits great. Like a rubber glove. I have a large head and the size is medium. I'm sure it would fit a large range of heads. It gets lots of laughs from everyone when I put it on. It's looks really cool. It seems like a very low cost, precautionary measure.
