Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fusionbrands 3-Inch Silicone Poach Pod Egg Poaching Tool, GreenCustomer Review: THE BEST egg poacher on the market! Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried a lot of gadgets and little pans that are supposed to poach eggs for you, but i have to say that this one is THE BEST. It is the ONLY one i would recommend to other people. It flawlessly cooks your eggs in a perfect round shape and easily pops out of the cooker 100% of the time. It's fool proof.
Just bring water in a pan to a simmer, spay the cups with non-stick spray and cook to your desired hardness (about 7-10 minutes). I love these little pods so much that i'm buying more as soon as i'm done writing this review.
Customer Review: Works really well! Summary: 5 Stars
This works - after you boil water, put in eggs and wait 5 to 6 minutes - eggs are poached and ready! The eggs come out and are formed in a cup shape. I like these way better than any other egg-poaching device I've ever bought, and I've bought a couple. This works better than the plastic one I got that is supposed to go in the microwave which always over-cooked the eggs. This also works better than my previous silicone egg poachers which were hard to dig out of the water. The higger rims on these make them so easy to lift out of the water.
Customer Review: Handy gadget! Summary: 5 Stars
I am not a kitchen gadget person, but I am a foodie and an egg lover, and I do find it deeply satisfying to use the right tool for the job. These poaching cups fit into that category. Their shape cooks the egg just perfectly, so that the whites are gently cooked and the yolks are like delicious liquid gold. And true to the claim, the eggs do not stick! With a little cooking spray, they just slide right out. I've been putting a poached egg on top of darned near everything since I got these.
Customer Review: A good product, but get a slotted spoon Summary: 5 Stars
The eggs were perfect after six minutes, so much so that my wife, who'd said she didn't want any, cast a longing glance at mine (served over sauteed zucchini with grated Parmigiano for dinner) and asked for her own. Careful, I burned myself trying to extract them from the water the first time by grabbing the edge. A slotted spoon and a spritz of oil (clearly indicated by the directions) made it flawless. I'm excited to get a couple more and try out some savory and sweet custards.
Customer Review: Does what it says Summary: 5 Stars
Want to poach eggs? Don't want to haul out a klunky egg poacher with a bunch of parts that you will need to clean up later? These poach pods are just the thing to have if you like poached eggs quickly and without a lot of fuss. They are easy to use and clean up. The instructions suggest there are other uses for these little pods such as using them to mold food or for baking "flan, frittata or other baked goods" but I haven't tried that. A good product that does what it claims it will do.
