This came highly recommended to me by a knife professional (he wrote the book, literally!) and hasn't disappointed. I was never too handy with a honing rod and this handy pocket-sized device takes out all the guess-work.
Simple, easy to use, and maintains a brilliant edge between sharpenings. I was even able to provide a demonstration slicing a soft tomato!
So far so good - I'd recommend this for every kitchen. Outlook for long-term use also looks good, this is a quality device.

When the product arrived I was a tad skeptical that something so simple looking would be as good as advertised. What a pleasant surprise to learn that the product worked EXACTLY as advertised. If you're looking for something simple that will sharpen your everyday houseknives this is the product to get. The directions are laid out well and if you still have problems there's a website that has an instructional video to guide you further. I have one of these knife sharpeners, and I can truly say it's the only sharpener I have ever used with ease. This one was purchased for my brother for his birthday. He and his wife love it when I cook for them when I visit and I responded by giving them a really good knife and cutting board for Christmas. But they whined about keeping it sharp. OziTech to the rescue! My brother has some arthritis issues - this is a very easy sharpener for him, and for my sister-in-law to use. Success!Customer Review: Very Sharp

This item may look like it is very complicated to use. But it is very simple to use. The picture shows that it needs to be set up in a certain way before this can be used. However it is not difficult. Simply open the flaps on the side and turn one of the two halves around to place this on a flat surface. They are easy to use and inexpensive to buy.
