This product was what we were looking for. We have a room over the garage and it was never cool or warm as the rest of the house so it did not get used very much. This unit was the answer to that problem. It is warm now so we have used the cooling only but it is great so far. It did take my husband, who is very handy, about 4 solid hours to install the unit so you may want to take that into consideration when buying this unit unless you have someone to help you put it in. We also had to have an electrical work done to get a 220 outlet since a normal outlet can not handle the power. We are glad we did it but the project was over 1000 dollars so just be aware of all of the parts you need to operate this unit.

This Frigidaire FAM18ER2A Air Conditioner has a 18,500/18,200 BTU cooling capacity and 16,000/13,000 heating capacity. It is perfect for large rooms or rooms where supplemental cooling is needed (Up to 1170 Square Feet) It features an EER of 9.7. It features electronic controls that is coupled with full-function remote capabilities that gives the consumer the control they love at the remote, not the unit. Cool, energy saver and fan modes, On/Off 24-Hour timer, auto cool and sleep can be programmed with the remote. Electronic controls offer filter check reminder and clean air features. Installing the unit is made easy with the Pleated Quick Mount Window Mounting Kit and Filter cleaning is a snap with the Tilt-Out Filter Access Feature. The FAM18ER2A is 17 3/4- inches in height, 23 3/4-inches in width, and 25 1/2-inches in depth, weighs 122 pounds, and uses 230/208 Volts AC.
