Customer Review: Failure after two repairs.
Summary: 1 Stars
We had a compressor failure after the first mild NW winter here in Portland Oregon. I just turned it on again today and we have another failure in the compressor bearings. It's unfixable, unless you want to replae the compressor again, and now out of warranty. I would not reccomend this air conditiner to anyone.
There is a quality problem.

Cool, energy saver and fan modes, On/Off 24-Hour timer, auto cool and sleep can be programmed with the remote. Electronic controls offer filter check reminder and clean air features. This Frigidaire FAK085R7V Energy Star Rated Air Conditioner has a 8,000 BTU cooling capacity. It is well suited for medium to large room applications or rooms where supplemental cooling is needed (Up to 350 Square Feet) It features an EER of 10.5. The Variable Speed Fan and 8-Way Air Direction along with Electronic Controls with Full Function Remote and 24 Hour On / Off Timer makes it very easy to operate. LVC Technology (Low Voltage Compensation), proper operation of the unit is assured when voltage fluctuates below normal levels. Installing the unit is made easy with the Vertical Mounting Kit and Filter cleaning is a snap with the Tilt-Out Filter Access Feature. The FAK085R7V is 20 1/4- inches in height, 14 1/4-inches in width, and 24 1/2-inches in depth, weighs 80 pounds, and uses 115 Volts AC.
