Customer Review: Great Purchase!

We purchased this Dehumidifier through Amazon in June 2010. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. We bought this to replace a dehumidifier purchased in 1989, which we use in a finished basement. This unit is SO QUIET compared to our old one and it generates MUCH LESS HEAT -- a major improvement over what we had. As luck would have it ... about a week after this Frigidaire unit arrived, a micro-burst (sort of like a small tornado) hit our street. We had 3 huge, tall pines fall on our house, making several big holes in the roof. With the heavy rains, our house was soaked from attic to basement. A professional company was brought in to dry out the house -- they ripped up our carpets, tore down our ceilings and set up industrial dehumidifiers and blowers in every room and let them run for 4 days. On the 2nd day, one of the industrial units failed. We put our little (by comparison) Frigidaire into service in that room and it did a fabulous job (without making the room 110 degrees as the industrial unit did). We're very happy with this purchase.
