Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fred Cool Shooters Shot Glass Mold

Customer Review: Fun but Messy - Use Outside
Summary: 4 Stars

The "Cool Shooters" are a very fun and novel way to serve cold beverages. This mold makes four "shot glasses" at a time, so you might want to start making them up in advance if you are having many guests.

Since these are ICE, you likely will not want to use them inside the house or near wood furniture that can be stained as the "glass" melts. Also, we do not advise freezing juice as it can be sticky on your hands as it melts.

Not very practical, but fairly fun!

Customer Review: Fun but messy
Summary: 4 Stars

These shot glass molds are definitely impressive and fun to use. They are great for taking shots of warm liquor, as they will (obviously) cool the shots before you take them. They are also neat to use for Jager bombs or something of the like. You can come up with some awesome bartending tricks with these shot glasses.

Unfortunately, they are extremely slippery after they've been out for a couple of minutes. I have actually had these shot glasses slip right out of my hand.

Customer Review: Neat novelty
Summary: 4 Stars

This will last you a party or three, before you lose interest. The whole freezing thing can get in the way of your drinking. But otherwise it's pretty neat.

Suggestion: Fill it with hot watter and let it stand out for a while before finally freezing it. Hot watter contains less gas in mixture. The less gases you have mixed in with the water, the less bubbles will form upon freezing, this will give you stronger clearer ice that will last longer.

Customer Review: Fun but awkward.
Summary: 4 Stars

Ideal for an ice bar or somewhere where the ambient temperature is near or below freezing, as they melt really quickly in a normal environment. Although I guess that's just a better excuse to take more shots in a shorter period of time. Additionally they can be difficult to hold while melting, especially after a few repetitions. So try to drink liquors that wont stain or in a place where and while wearing clothes that it wont matter.
