Customer Review: No more plugged ears after landing

A few years ago I was at the airport when I realized I had forgotten my foam ear plugs. I bought a pair of these at an airport newsstand. I no longer have plugged ears after landing. The trick for me is to insert these before take off and remove them when the plane reaches cruising altitude. About 30 minutes before landing I listen for the change of pitch in the engines that signals the beginning of the descent. That is when I insert them again. These fit nicely into one of my ear canals, but not so easily into the other. I try to twist them into the ear canal just enough to make a seal, but not so much as to be uncomfortable. Prior to using these there were infrequent times when my ears might not pop for three days. Now my ears are fine as soon as I remove the plugs while taxiing to the terminal.
