Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fox Run Dinosaur Cookie Cutter Set

Customer Review: Good product
Summary: 4 Stars

I haven't used them as cookie cutters yet, but did use them when i was cooking eggs. I made a T-Rex shape fried egg for me 2 year-old son, and he loved it. Even i couldn't really tell it's a t-rex, but my son yelled "T-Rex" right the way. I guess they work for kid. :)

Customer Review: Cookies break too easily!
Summary: 3 Stars

I ordered these for my son's 4th birthday party- it was a dinosaur theme! :) I made dinosaur sugar cookies which the kids decorated with icing I had put in piping bags. They had a lot of fun and loved eating their finished projects too, but for me, it was hell baking the cookies! Whoever designed these cookie cutters obviously never tried using them afterwards! The T-Rex especially was impossible to make- it kept breaking at the tail, the front leg, the head... After I broke a whole bunch and ended up with only two that somehow survived, I just gave up on it. The Triceratops was also breaking- at the horn. Quite a few of the Brontosaurus broke at the long neck. The ones easiest to use were the Stegosaurus and the Pterodactyl, so the kids ended up with primarily these two shapes to decorate. They were still happy, but they didn't know how frustrated I was after having had all these cookies break beforehand... :(
Overall, if I was looking for dinosaur cookie cutters and there was nothing else available, I would still buy these, I guess, but they are far from ideal!

Customer Review: Deformed T-Rex
Summary: 3 Stars

These cookie cutters aren't bad, especially since I found them for nearly half off, but there's just something wrong with that T-Rex. I didn't notice the image on the label which hides the offending cookie cutter perfectly. When I opened it, I laughed so hard because seriously, that's not how a T-Red should be shaped. The other cookie cutters were fine, especially for as much as I saved, so I just dubbed that one the Retardosaurus and have fun with it. I really do wonder what was going through the designer's head, though.

Customer Review: Very cute but they could be designed better
Summary: 3 Stars

I own this set, and has been a popular item with my son, since he is a dinosaur lover, but it is very difficult to get some cookies in one piece because of the design, like t-rex or the pterodactile, they break easily.
Also mine started to rust so easily, I was soaking them in water to remove the dough and in a couple of hours they were rusted! I was so disappointed!
So I'm looking for a new dinosaur cookie cutters, that has a better design and is made of better materials.

Customer Review: Arrived Broken
Summary: 2 Stars

After receiving this cookie cutter set in the mail, I was dissapointed to find that one of the dinosaurs was broken. The stegosauras had come apart and looks like it will have to go in the garbage. Otherwise, the set looks ok, flimsy to say the least, but ok. Could have been a much higher rating had my order not arrived broken.
