In the past, I have always sharpened my scissors by hand, which can be tedious, and if done improperly, can permanently ruin scissors. I saw this nifty little scissor sharpener, and thought I would give it a try. It works great! My Fiskars scissors are now super sharp, and can easily be touched up in seconds. I even used it on a pair of el-cheapo scissors I had laying around, and was amazed that they turned out just as sharp as the Fiskars scissors. One thing to watch out for, is some specialty scissors, such as hair cutting scissors, have a different blade angle, and cannot be sharpened with this sharpener. Some scissors even have a blade angle that changes along the length of the blade.
