I have bought a few cheaper sets of scissors over the last couple of years and was never satisfied with them for very long. These Scissors are much nicer and are holding an edge very well. And they are put together well enough that I will take the trouble to resharpen them whenever they need it. Those really are razor scissors, actually you need to be very careful you may loose a finger if you don't!!! this work for pretty much everything, I purchase this for my mother and she used for fabric and even works with several layers of denim or similar thick fabrics
