My son uses his left hand to cut and we couldn't find left handed scissors locally for him to take to school. These are perfect for smaller hands and are true left-handed scissors (the blades are reversed from right-handed scissors). We bought two pairs - one for school and one for at home. I only wish I had bought more because I'm sure they will get misplaced at some point and then I will have to buy more. My son is left handed and as I watched him struggle to cut out his homework neatly, I realized it was much harder for him than it had to be.
