Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fiskars 93907097 Pre-School Spring Action Scissors, Color may vary

Customer Review: Simple scissors for the younger set
Summary: 5 Stars

Up until we got these scissors, my sons were two handed cutters. These scissors are so easy to operate one handed, my older boy was able to give himself his first self haircut. Thanks Fiskars. :D

Customer Review: good first scissors
Summary: 5 Stars

A 2-3yr old will love these. They have a usable edge, but not sharp enough to do much damage on much besides paper.

Customer Review: great starter
Summary: 5 Stars

my 2 1/2 year old can use these like a pro! They are a great way to get her working on fine motor skills.

Customer Review: Love these
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought these scissors for my daughter when she was about 2.5 or 3 and we have used the same pair for our other two children as well. The child does not have to struggle to get the scissors open because they just pop up! Have you ever seen a small child use a regular pair of children's scissors? They have one handle in the left hand one in the right so that they can pull the scissors open. Not so with these. :)

The only thing that I find disappointing about these is that they are so hard to find in stores. :(

Customer Review: Still a little difficult to use for my daughter
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought the scissors to help my two year old daughter learn how to use scissors. I thought that they would be great for beginners. I tried them out first and I thought that they were a little difficult to completely shut. My daughter also has difficulty getting them to close on paper. I would not recommend the pre-school scissors. I am a teacher and I teach Kindergarten...some of my younger students had difficulty using the scissors also.
