I guess mine are burning fast. But I have them on a marble plate and am not worrying about them going through or anything. Just take the precautions you should take with any candles, really. Don't leave them unattended, things like that. Any candles you burn over stones are going to get the stones waxy. That's a given.
As far as them burning fast, they look cool but I don't intend to let them sit there forever, anyway. I don't mind burning through them. They were a gift and I'm getting use out of them. I like mine fine and I think they are nice.

Relax with these candles, alone or otherwise. These are the candles you want as a centerpiece of a small table. When lit, the hues are like any other candle. When lit, the room brightens exquisitely. When lit, what needs dimming is dimmed, but what needs lighting is alit. The scent will enrapture your senses while calming the air. Mostly, this candle set is not for lighting. You will not depend on this when a storm has extinguished your lamps. These are decorative, and through the long burning life, they will also be beautiful unlit.Customer Review: Lovely Gift

I received this as a gift and have just loved it. Even though I love to burn candles I can't bring myself to burn these yet. The scent has filled my bedroom for months without even burning them. The colors are beautiful and the rocks are a inspiring match. They go very well with my Rattan 5-Drawer Chest and my Asian inspired comforter. I bought this for my sister-in-law for her birthday. She absolutely loved it! She said that the candles smelled great and it looked very nice in their apartment.

This was a gift for a 93 year old mother who, even at her age, loves attractive things in her home. While this is intended as a definite Feng Shui product, it is just as well suited to adorning the coffee table, mantle, end table, etc. It is attractive and appropriate for almost all, if not all, schemes.
