I hate peeling potatoes. Absolutely hate it. But I love eating potatoes. This seems like a silly gadget, I know, but we use it all the time. It doesn't remove all pain from peeling potatoes and you will still have to get the "divots" and grooves out by hand so it isn't perfect. I love it though and feel that it is the "best gadget" I have ever purchased. It is so easy to use that my daughter has used it since she was 6 or 7, helping in the kitchen.
Usually kitchen gadgets go unused and just take up space--but if you love potatoes and hate peeling them, you will love this. I have also used it very successfully with apples. I haven't attempted to use it with anything else.

My family really loves potatoes, and with my sons multiple food protein intolerances, potatoes are one of the only vegetables he can eat. I use this almost daily and LOVE it. It does occasionally get stuck if you don't clean the blade between uses or if you start the blade at a particularly stubborn spot on the potato. With that being said, I still recommend it to everyone that comes over and even gave my brother a demonstration, peeling a potato for absolutely no reason other than to show him how easy it was. I've had it for 3 months and use it regularly with no problems. If it does eventually break, it is cheap enough that I can purchase a new one without guilt.Customer Review: Love it!

This product makes peeling so much easier and the kids love using it! Any product that promotes the kids helping with dinner I am all for. It is easy to use, works great, and speeds up the process of peeling. We have a big family so when we make potatoes or eat apples, we eat a lot of them! I will agree that it is cheaply made because it is plastic, but I paid less then $20 so I expected that. If the product was made of all metal parts I am sure I would have paid over double the price, expectedly. I don't expect this to last forever and never break, but for the time being it is saving us a LOT of time in dinner preperation.Customer Review: great machine

My son & I prepare 250 pounds of Gravenstein apples for applesauce each year. We couldn't do it without this machine. We know that it was created for home use, not commercial use, so it probably wasn't intended for such intense use. Therefore, we run it for 15 minutes then let it cool for 15 minutes so the motor doesn't overheat. We just finished this year's batch, running it this way for three days at five or so hours each day, and it was terrific.Customer Review: Great for the Holidays

I bought this the week before Thanksgiving. My sister was pestering me because it was taking too long for us to finally eat on Thanksgiving.. I figured since I normally hand peel 20lbs of potatoes.. maybe this would help..
IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY!! I am sooo happy with this purchase.. I probably will only use it for Thanksgiving and Christmas but it was worth EVERY PENNY!!
