I used the Excalibur to dry tomatoes. I was very pleased with the resulting product. The color is really good and the concentration of tomato flavor is great. This dehydrator is an amazing way to preserve all those foods that dont keep long, or the ones you just couldn't eat before they were ready to rot. Just rinse and toss in the Excalibur, and let it dry.

We have already dehydrated some buckwheat sprouts, rye "toast", and tofu jerky. It would be wise to invest in some solid dehydrator sheets if you are serious about making "bread" otherwise it will stick inside the mesh trays.Customer Review: Excalibur 9 Tray Dehydrator

It would be nice if the Excalibur 9 Tray would come with at least one of the non stick sheets. That is the only improvement I would make. The Excalibur is a great product and I have been enjoying using it.
