I purchased this product on the recommendation of an alternative
medicine doctor. As it is a gift for a family member I cannot
attest to it's usefulness or quality, although I've read good
reviews from other psople. My only concern was that it may not
have been necessary to order the extra jars had I known that
they were included with the yogurt maker. I did not see that
specifically stated in the item's description. Just because
it is pictured with the jars already in it doesn't necessarily
mean you will be receiving them when you order the yogurt maker.
I've bought other products in the past that were pictured one way
but received in a different way. Sellers need to be specific in
the item description of what exactly is included. Hopefully, the
extra jars will come in handy.

Nice jars, lids leak though, which I found out the hard way. Then, looking through my glass jar lid collection I found that a Newman's Own Pasta Sauce lid fit perfectly with no leaking. Then I found a site that showed me that it's a standard type of lid and that I could order them online from Kitchenkrafts.com for $5.25/12 lids. I had to order two sets to cover the the 15 jars I have, or you could eat a lot of pasta. Now everything yogurt related is perfect.

These jars are the same as those that came with the yogurt maker. They're fine, but I wish they didn't leak. I have to be extra-careful to keep my lunch box upright, or the yogurt juice will get all over everything. Still, I knew this before purchasing these, and they work fine. It's nice to have a set of 8, since it gives you a bit of leeway if you break one, or one is still full when you want to make another batch.Customer Review: Good Sour Milk!

I've had this yogurt maker for a few months, now. It works very well (once the cook learned what he was doing!). My only gripe, which has already been noted in other reviews, is the lids on the jars do not seal well. Otherwise, it's a good product. Get an extra set of jars while you're at it.

I bought these jars to put my homemade raw milk yogurt in. They work great for this. However, the lids seem like they don't stay on too well. If they would sell these with a lid that seals better I would give the jars 5 stars.
