This is the first digital scale I have owned. I purchsed it because my husband was diagnoised with diabetes and I wanted to be able to measure the portions of his food. This was very difficult when the package listed a serving size as 3 oz. The scale works beautifully. I can put a bowl on it, set it back to zero and I know exactly how much to give him. This is a sweet scale - low profile and accurate. It has a nice feature that allows you to subtract the weight of the container into which you are putting food, so you do not have to do the math yourself. Only slight problem is the size of the container can get in the way of reading the weight - it would be nice to have a button to hold the display for a few seconds after you remove the container. I've bought several scales over the years, and like this one best.Customer Review: Never worked.

I am a scientist by trade and have used several similar digital scales in lab, so I was excited to use my skills to improve my cooking. Unfortunately, I got a "dud" with this product. The buttons were unresponsive 90% of the time, and in the few instances where I could get it to tare, the scale was incredibly inaccurate. This product is trash, don't waste your money. I am very, very pleased with this scale. I've had it for several weeks now, and used it to measure just about everything I could. It does everything it said it would, and so far I have experienced absolutely no problems. It is also very easy to clean, lightweight and looks good on my countertop. I would absolutely recommend this scale to anyone who's looking for a inexpensive kitchen scale.Customer Review: Couldn't be happier.

It measures weight--which, hey, is pretty much what I was looking for.
Conveniently switches between ounces and grams, and I get a lot of use out of the Tare feature. It's light and small, tucks away in the cupboard easily, and generally makes food portioning simple.
At first I thought it would be inconvenient that it doesn't have a removable, washable tray, but it turns out the tare feature makes that completely unnecessary. I can just use my own plate, no worries.
