When I saw this in my Quickpicks, I put it in my cart to send to my sister in England. Sadly, the postage there was WAY too high, so I ended up getting it for myself. (Maybe I can send her a picture)
The teapot comes with 6 of the flowering green-jasmine teas, plus three 50 gram packages of loose leaf tea that each make about 16 pots of tea. Since the pot alone (Primula PTA-3940 Tea Pot with Infuser, with one sample) normally sells for nearly the full price of this set this is a great deal.
I'm not a big fan of Jasmine, so I purchased some of the other flowering white teas, including Primula 12-Pack Flowering White Tea with Vanilla and was pleasantly, surprised. The flowers were beautiful, and the tea was mild and gentle. I left the flower to brew while I drank three cups, each one was a little stronger and even better than the one before.
Unless you are giving them as a gift, the normal packages of flowering tea sell for less than the gift packages, and with 12 flowers per package, it comes out to about 60 cents for a full pot of tea even if you don't re-use the flowers.
I have posted a photo of my pot, about 2/3 full, with a picture of the included infuser. It is also made of glass and is very nice. I was worried that the water wouldn't go into the slits very fast, but I was pleasantly surprised. So whether you are making the primula or your favorite loose-leaf, this microwavable, dishwasher safe teapot is a nice buy.
