Customer Review: Had one for 10 years.

Actually still have one, bought this size and a smaller size. The original has some discoloring issues (got darker after many washes). I also think my original was a different type of epicurean - started out darker. Doesn't dull my knives (that I notice) and I cook quite often. Is a solid base for cutting meat or hacking at bones. I've never had a dish washer but I did notice after 6 years the larger one (12 inch) is not exactly flat anymore, but not enough it rocks around, I have to flip it over if I need stability. Not really an issue - epicurean does make cutting boards with a solid core that would probably never warp if you do cut things that are hot all the time. The 12 inch one is a perfect size all of my cutting needs, even to cut lots of herbs and pushing it aside as you continue to mince more. It does drip though so if you're cutting a lot of meat on it, make sure to put a towel down or get a board that has grooves to catch it. So sturdy enough to feet comfortable but light enough to grab easily and use. The hole is really nice for that grabby purpose or to hang. And FYI after 10 years - the original board has not chipped, fallen apart, or really shows that much damage. Perhaps I will post a picture of my new one vs. the 10 year one.
