Replacing watch batteries is quite easy - as long as you get the right kind of battery. Most of the time, the back cover can be prised out using your fingernail - though you may need a small pin for removing the battery itself, which has springlike clamps to hold it in. Also remember which side of the battery is facing up (polarity) - generally it is the +ve side. While Mall's have these small stalls offering to replace your batteries free while you wait and charge $5 for the battery. Even stores and supermarkets cost about the same. Was pleasantly surprised to get this lot of 5 batteries for less than 5$.

The title really says it all. Can you open the back of your watch, remove the old battery, replace it with a new one and snap the watch closed? If so, you're going to save yourself quite a bit of money.
I've paid jewelers $7 to replace a stinking battery that probably costs them 25 cents in bulk. One day I decided to try replacing the battery in one of my cheap watches and haven't paid to have it done since.
Once you've done it a few times, it literally takes about 2 minutes. So, can you install one?

These are silver oxide Energizer watch batteries which were sent from an Amazon Merchant (FindingKing). Five batteries for less than $5 and they paid the shipping. The batteries arrived three days earlier than expected, are brand new and work great. So, what is not to like about the supplying company or the product or the incredible price. I got a Kenneth Cole Reaction watch. When I was trying to replace the battery in the watch repair shops, they were charging me 20 dollars. Then I got this Energizer 364 Battery (5 pack) for just 2.5 dollars and got replaced at Fossil Store for free (as they don't have this 364 battery in stock). My watch is working fine now.
