I received the opener as a gift and immediately tried to open a bottle of wine..hmm didn't work so well. THEN I read the instructions. After it was properly charged - it worked like a charm; not only to uncork the bottle but to eject the cork from the opener. I have arthritus in my hands and this is a blessing for wine lovers. This is the best! I broke one because I wasn't paying attention. Push the bottom until the cork is pulled.....then push the top to release it. I was not paying attention and pushed the wrong button mid-way! Love this...so easy to use.

this wine opener is fantastic. We use it to open those synthetic corks that can be so difficult, if not impossible with a regular corkscrew. This devise opens it quickly and so easily. My husband and I can't wait to open a new bottle of wine, it is so much fune to do. We used to dread the wine opening struggle, but no more. I never thought I would use anything but a manual corkscrew but some friends got us one of these for Christmas. It's easy to use and hasn't failed yet. Now I'm addicted. You just need to hold the bottle firmly in one hand and the corkscrew firmly in the other hand and press the button. If you can't handle this, I don't know how you could ever use a manual one.Customer Review: wine lovers dream

I stumbled across the the electric cork screw by chance. It seemed to good to be true....too easy. But the reviewers seemed to like it so I bought one. My hands were injured in an accident so using a regular cork screw was a chore. This thing is fantastic! It's extremely easy to use, makes opening wine a snap, and your guests will get a kick out of it.
