I thought I owned the best wine bottle opener in the world in my little double screw wooden gem I also own of those gas powered wine openers. It works well but taking the cork off can be a mean trick. Plus the loud "pop" sounds like a bottle of champagne. Then I received this electric wine opener as a gift. The only reason I kept it was because I have one of the Wine Saver bottle sealers and they looked a lot alike. I put it on the shelf and did not ever plan to use it. I mean, it was just a corkscrew in a tube. I had as friend over on Valentine's Day and she wanted to see it work. W O W! It was the slickest thing i EVER USED. I mean, it not only took the cork out with a minimum of noise, but it extracted the rock with another push of the button. No loud POOP like the gas unit, and no cork in the bottle. (I know because I opened several of wine just to see it fail. It never did. I have now ordered my customary spare because this one will get a lot of use.Customer Review: Best we have ever used (and we have used them all)

My husband and I are wine makers to the tune of over 750 bottles a year. We generally go through 5 bottles a week ourselves, and host many other wine bottle openings for friends and organizations. BY FAR - this is the bottle opener of choice. We have used the CO2 openers (which are scary), professional table and floor models (very expensive but a good SHOW), waiter style, the old fashion cork screws (which are not bad for manual), and the famous rabbit ear ones. This Emerson electric opener is easy for guests to use, and fast if you are opening many bottles. Our Oster one gave up the ghost after 5 months. We have had this one for a year and a half and there is no sign of problems. Well worth the money paid.Customer Review: Simple, effective, quick, easy

We've had our electric wine bottle opener for a couple weeks and have used it several times already. Has worked effortlessly every time. My wife is a complete wimp (speaking honestly) and she loves it because it's so easy: just hold it on, push a button, and the cork is out. I'm afraid what this might mean to her rate of wine consumption...she used to at least have to wait for me to open the bottles! I've tried every type of wine opener over the years, primarily using a high-quality rabbit style for the past 8 years. The only thing I might yet consider is a counter-top mounted rabbit, otherwise we will use nothing but this electric opener from now on.Customer Review: did what we could not

Got "Vampire Wine" as an anniversary present a few years ago and since I dislike my husband it has just sat here undrank. But after getting 5 colds this winter I decided to start doing the red wine glass a night. Well I wanted to but NO ONE could get the cork out of this wine. We spent hours and got nowhere.
So I bought this Emerson Opener and although it made me insane to wait 16 hours for it's initial charging, it popped that evil cork immediately on it's first try.
I do recommend this product and it would be a great gift for senior wine drinkers as it is SO easy to use. Sit it on top of the bottle and push the button. That's it!

This electric corkscrew works very well. I researched this item prior to purchase, and found many similar items to select from. I am glad I purchased this item! After the initial charge, we opened a couple bottles, and started looking for more to open!! Worked surprisingly well, and was a lot of fun!!Anyone who tells you that it doesn't work well must be using it incorrectly, because this thing worked great!! We were using one of those Rabbit corkscrews, which works good, but this corkscrew works much better. You will be happy if you buy this partcular item!
