Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Emerson 8-Bottle Wine Cooler - Stainless SteelCustomer Review: Emerson 8 Bottle Wine Cooler Summary: 5 Stars
Makes a great gift item! Has a small footprint and saves counter space while providing a great temperature for your wines. Would recommend it to others interested in purchasing an effective wine cooler at a good price.
Customer Review: Check the back of the unit..... Summary: 4 Stars
Like others, after about 10 months, the temp gauge creeped up to 65 degrees and stayed put. I was about to let it go when a friend looked at the back filter and saw it clogged. After cleaning it out so it could draw air in for the cooling process, I checked 24 hours later and the temp is now down to 50 degrees. An improvement, but we'll see for how long.....
Customer Review: Was good until it stopped... Summary: 2 Stars
Bought for my parents last Christmas and about 9 months after use, it stopped working and wouldn't chill any more, it just wouldn't go below 65 no matter what the temperature/LED was set to. They seemed to like it before it stopped working properly.
Customer Review: Not that great. Summary: 2 Stars
The pretty blue light is nice inside, but it doesn't always stay down to temp.
Customer Review: Previous 5-Star Review Revoked Summary: 1 Stars
A year ago I wrote a 5-star review through Target, but they will not allow me to amend it, but I feel I need to for safety's sake: Yes for about 10 months it worked great, but a few weeks ago it started making very loud weird noises. I had it on a level surface and vacuumed the fan regularly per the manufactures instructions, but noise kept getting louder. Then, yesterday I came home and there was a horrible electrical odor coming from it and temperature rose to 68 degrees; it seemed to be dying a slow, painful death. My husband put it out of it's misery and removed the electrical cord and inside components. Now I have a lovely $80 non-cooling wine storage unit.
