We purchased to use in our kitchen island for said purpose. We are able to use for the overflow of juiceboxes, soda, beer, wine, etc to leave room in the main fridge for larger cartons and food items. If I had 2 minor suggestions it would be a built in light that turns on and off when you open/close door, oppose to having to leave it ON all of the time or OFF all of the time and a built in lock. These features are nice to haves vs. need to to haves as the unit is great in quality and looks. Would buy again.

A reversible stainless steel trimmed dual paned glass door, chrome shelving, and interior lighting offer excellent presentation and easy accessibility to beer, soft drinks, wine, and other beverages. This freestanding beverage refrigerator offers a temperature range of approximately between mid 30s - mid 50s Fahrenheit with mechanical controls. This EdgeStar beverage center features 5 fully removable slide-out chrome wire shelves in all, including 2 shelves with 28 cans per shelf capacity, one 26 can shelf, and one half size 6 can capacity shelf. An additional removable slide-out scalloped chrome shelf stores 5 standard 750 mL wine bottles. A manually controlled incandescent light allows illumination for easy beverage location and display.
